Interview with the new Managing Director Markus Humpert
Christoph Busch, long-time managing director of avitea GmbH will pass on the management to his successor Mr. Markus Humpert at the end of the year. Markus Humpert has already served as authorized signatory of avitea GmbH and managing director of avitea Industrieservice. We talked to Mr. Humpert about his new role and learned with which expectations and goals he is looking forward to the new task.
Question: Mr. Humpert, you will soon be taking on the role of Managing Director of avitea. You have already been part of avitea and avitea Industrieservice for around 15 years. How did you come to avitea and how would you describe your career path in the company so far?
Markus Humpert: Actually, a very happy coincidence led me to avitea at that time. During an after-work beer, a good acquaintance told me about the open position at avitea. After the first conversation with Mr. Busch, I was already hooked. Between the first interview and the signing of the contract, it took only two weeks and I became part of the avitea family. In August 2008, I became branch manager in Hamm. After a few stops in between, I was finally given the role of authorized signatory in the avitea management and took over the management of avitea Industrieservice in 2016.
Question: When you think back to the last 15 years at avitea, what were your personal highlights?
Markus Humpert: Of course, there were some highlights in such a long time that I like to remember. However, taking over the management of avitea Industrieservice (ais) clearly stands out for me. From the very beginning, I was involved in brainstorming, writing the first concept papers, all the way to the actual spin-off of ais. I was therefore all the happier that I was finally trusted to take over the management of the company.
